Tour 1: Marine Tour

The marine tour provides a relaxed and informative look at the natural biodiversity of Nepean Bay and its surroundings. Meet the local dolphins, see marine creatures up close, view a large variety of sea birds including Sea Eagles, Little Fairy Penguins, Petrels, Turns, Oyster Catchers, Pacific Gulls, Cormorants and of coarse the Pelicans and many more. While cruising the coastline the dolphins "antics" are sure to put a smile on your face. Great scenery with photo opportunities and local history are all enjoyed onboard the Island Explorer.

Tour 2: Island Explorer Tour

The island explorer is an eco certified vessel. Come aboard for a half day tour and enjoy the marine nature experience. Departing Kingscote or Emu Bay, we cruise the coastline, visiting secluded beaches and witness some amazing marine life along the way. This area of coastline abounds with sea birds, penguins, sea eagles, albatross, pelicans and many more. Take a close up look at a seal colony and see them in their natural environment. Our local dolphins will entertain you throughout your trip.

Don't forget your bathers as we regularly stop at beautiful swimming areas where you can try snorkelling or maybe a swim with the dolphins. Its always a highlight and is done to strict guidelines and only if the dolphins want to. They are inquisitive and like to play. All equipment is supplied as well as instructions for first time snorkellers. Many varieties of fish can be seen as well as the Leafy Sea Dragon.

Kangaroo Island Marine Tours also conduct whale watching tours in season (May > Oct). Southern Wright Whales visit our shores on their way to the Great Australian Bight. Island Explorer is the only licenced whale watching vessel on Kangaroo Island.

Tour 3: The Ultimate Coastal Experience

As the name suggests this is the ultimate coastal experience. Travel by four wheel drive to one of our remote launch sites (according to weather), once there we board the Island Explorer for our day packed full of adventure. We visit isolated seal colonies of Australian Sea Lions and New Zealand Fur Seals. View Some of Australia's highest coastal cliffs with great photo opportunities, see some unusual and fascinating rock formations and learn the fate of some less fortunate mariners, with over 50 recorded shipwrecks in the waters of Kangaroo Island.

Relax and enjoy lunch on your own private beach, snorkel amongst all the fish life and swim with the dolphins or just sit back and relax.

Tour 4: Sunset Tour

Nepean Bay comes alive as the sun sets in the west on Kangaroo Island. Enjoy wine and nibbles, and the relaxation you can experience on the water with a sunset tour. A great way to end the day. The Island explorer cruises Neapean Bay & takes in the sights, great for family & friends or the romantic couple.
